Outdoor clothing could be ideal for Ryder Cup spectators

Outdoor clothing may be advisable for those heading to this year's Ryder Cup, which is set to be held in Wales on October 1st-3rd.

Spectators could find the attire is suitable for the tournament, which will be hosted by Newport's Twenty Ten Course at The Celtic Manor Resort and will feature a variety of golfing stars.

Practice Day and International Pavilion tickets are still available for fans of the sport who want to don their country clothing and watch the action unfold.

Players and visitors are likely to wrap up in items of wool knitwear, as the British autumn will be underway when the contest begins.

The country is preparing for the Ryder Cup by redesigning the course to meet the requirements of the international event.

Welsh celebrities are also gearing up to host the competition with a Welcome to Wales concert planned for September 29th.

Stars including Katherine Jenkins, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Only Men Aloud are due to perform at the show, which will be held at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
