Sustainable materials may be ideal for men's workwear

27/07/2010

Sustainable materials - such as mohair - may be an option for men who are working in hot offices during the summer months.

The suggestion comes from style adviser David Minns, who spoke to the Western Mail about the problem many male workers face at this time of year.

Those who are forced to wear a suit all year round can find the heat makes this an uncomfortable task, the publication explained.

But Mr Minns said choosing garments created from sustainable materials may be a wise option.

Mohair or goat hair is "without a shadow of a doubt" the current textile of choice for many men, he revealed.

And those who are attending a wedding this summer are advised to "go for the fabric that suits you", opting for a colour to match skin tone and complexion, Mr Minns added.

Women planning for such occasions in the coming months may find ladies' knitwear a handy addition, as cardigans and scarves can be ideal when worn with a summer dress.
