Ladies knitwear worn by Katie Holmes

Katie Holmes has demonstrated how to look good in ladies knitwear after being spotted wearing a grey cardigan in New York.

The 30-year-old actress, who is married to Tom Cruise, looked fantastic dressed in short denim hotpants and a white shirt.

She braved the winter weather by exposing her long legs, but kept her upper half wrapped up in a cosy-looking grey cardigan.

The ladies knitwear was especially stylish as it featured leather patches on the elbows.

Ms Holmes was spotted on the set of her new film The Romantics, where she has also been seen in recent weeks wearing sheepskin style boots with sheepskin lining.

Other celebrities who have been seen wearing knitwear so far this winter include Guy Ritchie and Sting.

Indeed, the singer has been spotted in a cosy cardigan on numerous occasions over the last few weeks, including on Late Night with Jools Holland and at The Punchbowl pub in London.
