Ladies slippers may be ideal for skiing holidays

Ladies slippers could provide extra warmth for those heading on holidays where the weather is bitterly cold.

The choice of footwear was certainly appreciated by Gabriella Le Breton, writing for the Daily Telegraph, who says she recently headed to the Monterosa region in Italy for a skiing adventure.

She reveals her hotel provided "comfortable beds spread with pretty linens, hot showers, comfy slippers and plenty of cosy communal space, heated by wood-burning ovens".

But not all establishments will offer the same luxuries, meaning some holidaymakers may be inclined to pack their own pair of ladies slippers to recreate the snug atmosphere.

This does not mean people need to be heading abroad in order to appreciate the footwear, as a recent article at yourhome.ca suggested homeowners can offer slippers to their guests in order to make their house as welcoming as possible this winter.

It noted this should be accompanied by the lighting of scented candles to create a warm glow.
