Noughties fashion 'must' is sheepskin style boots

A "must-have" fashion item from the Noughties is the sheepskin style boot, according to a BBC poll.

The broadcaster asked its audience to vote for defining objects from the last decade and the popular sheepskin footwear came in the top 20.

sheepskin style boots, which were relatively unheard of before the millennium, have now become a "must-have" fashion item with celebrities pictured wearing them on a daily basis.

Some fans of the toasty footwear include glamour model Katie Price, presenter Penny Lancaster, actress Elizabeth Hurley, Hollywood star Jessica Alba and X Factor finalist Stacey Solomon.

Celebrities have also been dressing their little ones in sheepskin style boots with Gwen Stefani, Uma Thurman and Nicole Kidman's children all seen wearing them.

Other "must-have" objects in the BBC's list include the hoody, iPods, satnavs, wheelie bins, flat-screen TVs and BlackBerrys.

The BBC's list also included the top 20 cultural items from the last ten years, the news items, people and words.
