sheepskin style boots are among the hottest autumn fashion trends of 2009, an expert asserts.

Sandra Kallio, writing for Madison.com, claims that any over-the-knee style is suitable but that sheepskin boots are among the best.

She says sheepskin style boots are "the height of fall footwear fashion" and are especially suitable when paired with jeans or a skirt and tights.

"As the summer sun sets, the fall closet opens to reveal tall boots, long cardigans and cosy scarves," she asserts.

Ms Kallio tells the news provider that other major fashions suitable for the season include ladies' knitwear such as cardigans and sweaters, especially when layered with other items.

Accessories such as scarves, hats and jewellery will also be big for the autumn season, she asserts.

Earlier this month, the Galway Advertiser's Delila Bouakkaz claimed that ladies' knitwear is a fashion essential for the autumn season, whether this is in the form of a dress, cardigan or jumper.
