Ladies cashmere jumpers 'accessible to many'

Ladies cashmere jumpers are now far more popular garments and could be worn by a range of women.

This is according to an article in the Independent, which says the material has become more "accessible" in recent years.

And it has resulted in high-end brands progressing in the way they use the fabric to come up with innovative designs.

The publication notes: "Ultra-warm alpaca too is high on the agenda. For those who find wearing a tailored coat an overly bourgeois proposition, an oversized alpaca cardigan will keep out the cold in relaxed fashion."

Alpaca wool is known to have similar qualities to cashmere, in that it is luxurious and soft to the touch.

The textile is also hypoallergenic and many could find it is a practical alternative to ordinary wool as it tends not to itch.

When purchasing a ladies cashmere jumper this autumn, women may consider choosing neutral colours, as the Independent states many garments are found in camel or black.
